Schwartz Women in Business Society (WIB) remains as one of the most active societies at Schwartz, if not the broader university. With membership ranging across as years of study, the Society offers many chances for involvement and growth opportunities for those students who take advantage. Perhaps what I find most impressive of the Society is the exceptional students who lead Women in Business. Currently leaders on campus, they will no doubt carry these skills and attitudes where ever the future takes them. The Annual conference hosted by WIB is the most notable example of this leadership and impact by hosting students from across the region, preparing a meaningful schedule and creating lasting connections.

FACULTY ADVISOR
Born and raised in Antigonish, NS, I graduated StFX in 2010 with distinction, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration with Major (Accounting) degree. After X, I began working for with a large publicly traded company, while simultaneously studying towards a Chartered Accountant (CA) designation, earning this title in 2013. Working in industry, I took on various roles in Retail Accounting, Internal Audit and External Reporting. I began to transition into academia in 2013, teaching night classes, before coming to StFX full time in the summer of 2015. During this time, in the classroom I focused on Financial and Managerial Accounting as well as an Introductory Business course. On the research side of things, I have worked towards three publications focusing on financial analysis though the use of cases and studying the emerging craft beer industry. During my spare time, I enjoy doing anything outside with my husband and our three young children.
